Not all of our clients want to change the colouration of their floors. Wood restoration work does not demand a need to change the wood finish. However, it may be that the floors have just become so deteriorated that their appearance is unsightly.
This may be by the following:
- Surface scratches
- Dull appearance
- Groves and marks created by furniture
- Discolouration of the original wood finish
This is an oak floor we worked to restore in Preston. The first image shows the deteriorated state of the floor when we arrived. It would be safe to say that it had experienced deterioration by all of the above factors.
Our client wanted us to fully sand the floor and restore it using a similar coloured wood finish. Wood finish products have come on so much in recent years. Wood finishes now offer exceptional protection against damage, use and other factors. It does demand periodical re-application. However, we offer information and advice to our clients in relation to this. This means that they achieve great value for money. The finish we achieve is second-to-none and leaving our clients with cleaning information means they remain looking at their best for longer.
The oak flooring was fully sanded, removing the old surface coatings. Our machinery offers dustless sanding, which virtually eliminates dust created through sanding. It also reduces disruption for our client’s homes and businesses as cleaning requirements are minimal after the floor sanding work.
