Restoring school wood floors? Wooden floors are popular throughout many commercial buildings. Some of these include schools, restaurants, bars and function rooms. These spaces are also where they suffer from most wear and tear.
Why Do Wood Floors Deteriorate?
Wood floors worsen in their appearance due to the surface finish deteriorating. This can happen steadily and slowly or rapidly if the surface finish is damaged (i.e. through scratching). Generally, over time if the wood finish deteriorates, it no longer offers protection to the floor underneath. This means that it will likely get dirty quick, show dirty patches and no longer offer protection against spillages.
If left, over time, further deterioration will occur. It is important that you are aware of how best to care for your wood floors. Regular care and attention, albeit simple and straight forward will mean that your floors remain looking at their best.

As the floor was sanded, the old coatings are removed to show the natural wood boards underneath. Some clients are often shocked at the colour of the actual wood underneath and the wood grain pattern that starts to show through. A beautiful and natural wood finish was selected to finish the floor. Once completed, the floor was well protected and ready for action and many more years’ service.
