High-Quality Floor Sanding

Ensuring high-quality floor sanding is so important. Time invested in the process will makes sure that the results are of the highest quality and will stand the test of time. We were recently asked to undertake this commercial floor sanding project in the studio for Steph’s packed lunch.

This is an incredible opportunity for us to showcase our floor restoration skillset. Before beginning the project, we were able to provide a floor survey. This allowed us to offer an accurate quotation for the work. The wood floor had experienced much wear and tear and needed skilful restoration to bring it back to life.

Wood Colour Samples

It is important that when you are completing the wood floor restoration process that you are confident of your colour selection. The selection of wood finishes can easily overwhelm anyone. This is where our experience allows us the offer guidance and advice to help our clients. We offer the service to place colour samples onto the floor.

This allows our clients to see exactly what the wood floor will look like when done. Different colours may alter in their appearance in different settings. Natural light (and in this case studio lighting as well) needs to be taken into account when selecting your wood finish.

The floor is sanded through a range of abrasive grits that removes the old coatings and other imperfections on the surface. This produces a surface that is suitable for the application of stains and lacquers.

The new colour is applied to the sanded floor. This is then followed by the application of clear coats of a primer followed by 2 coats of clear matt lacquer. Lacquers from Pallman coatings, durable coatings with the benefit of additional hardeners (Pal-X-Gold).
